The 2024 Burley crop size is estimated to be around 38 million kilos. The quality of the tobacco appears to be mature, ripe, and uniform. Due to the global Burley shortage, demand for Bangladeshi Burley is significantly high, leading to an increase in price.

The 2024 FCV crop size is estimated at 95 million kilos, which is almost 20% more than the previous year. Approximately 75% of the crop has been contracted by multinational companies. The quality of the crop is considered fair to good.
