The Zimbabwe FCV crop size is anticipated to be 220 million kgs in 2024, which is around 15% more than the previous year. The average prices on the auction floors were higher than last year, starting from USD 2.90 and going up to USD 4.30, depending on the position and quality. The late crop has been stressed due to a lack of rain, limited power, and minimal rainfall. Farmers have had to adapt by applying irrigation where possible, significantly aiding crop maturity and curing. The quality of the crop has predominantly shown clean lemons, though some areas affected by drought have produced drought-stressed varieties.
