The production of FCV Lombok increased by 35% in 2024, with the crop size estimated to reach 57 million kilos.
In the Bojonegoro region, 11,200 hectares have been planted, comprising 9,200 hectares of Virginia and 2,000 hectares of Java tobacco. The total estimated production for this region is 14.3 million kilos.
The production of Jatim-type tobacco is anticipated to reach 106 million kilos, including varieties such as Jatim VO, Kasturi, Rajangan, Paiton, Madura, Krosok, and Plose.
Tobacco production in Java is expected to be around 52 million kilos in 2024, remaining nearly the same as the previous year.
The estimated production of Besuki tobacco is projected to be 5,600 tons.
Overall, the total tobacco production for 2024 is estimated to be 235 million kilos, which is almost the same as the previous year.
